KUALA LUMPUR: After being single for three years now, popular actress Nur Fathia Abd Latiff is in no hurry to find love.
The 31-year-old Penang-born artiste does not view marriage as a guarantee to one’s happiness.
The Ariana Rose star said she would rather be single than be in a relationship that would only end in disappointment yet again.
“It’s not that I don’t believe in the institution of marriage, but the failure I experienced in my previous relationship has taught me a valuable lesson and made me a more mature person today,” she said.
“Allow me to live my life on my own terms until I find Mr. Right,” she said in a news report today.
“I used to look out for love from a man, but not anymore.
“After my younger sister got married recently, I’m sure my mother would want to see me wed too.
“But for me, marriage is not a priority at the moment. What is important now is working at building my name further in the entertainment scene,” she said.
Fathia also denied any suggestions that some VIPs were trying to get close to her.
“I am not a new artiste to be gossiped with certain VIPs,” she added.
