SHAH ALAM: Popular South Korean boy group iKon is known among K-Pop fans for its explosive hip-hop music and wild persona.
So it was no surprise that its seven male members brought the house down last night at their 2018 Continue Tour In Kuala Lumpur concert.
Held at Stadium Malawati here, the 130-minute show kicked off with a loud bang, complete with booming music, red-tinted lights, pyrotechnics and charismatic choreography.
The handsome members — B.I, Jay, Bobby, June, DK, Song and Chan — performed a total of 20 songs including Bling Bling, Rhythm Ta, Goodbye Road and Killing Me.
When they performed Love Scenario, their phenomenal hit that took South Korea (and K-Pop fans globally) by storm, the 7,000 concert-goers sang along wholeheartedly to the catchy tune.3
Just as entertaining were the parts where the members interacted humorously with one another as well as the audience (in English) in between songs.
The lively concert scene was made even more eye-catching by iKon fans who waved the group’s official lightstick, that gave off a bright orange-red glow, in the air.
They also took the opportunity sing the birthday song for iKon’s leader B.I whose birthday falls on Oct 22.
Addressing the screaming crowd, Jay said, “I heard that this country’s night view is very beautiful. If I have time for travelling, I want to check out all of Malaysia.”
In support of iKon’s second studio album Return, the iKon 2018 Continue Tour In Kuala Lumpur was organised by MacpiePro.
The upcoming concert stops are Bangkok, Sydney, Melbourne, Hong Kong, Manila, Jakarta and Singapore.
