KUALA LUMPUR: The wedding of actress Raja Ilya is still being heavily discussed on social media even after she had shared several photos from her wedding reception on Instagram.
But with no photos of the actual “akad nikah” ceremony in sight, fans are doubting whether the 33-year-old artiste’s marital union was even conducted according to Muslim wedding practices.
Earlier today, Raja Ilya shared another wedding photo of her and her Australian businessman husband known as Trent Garrett standing at what looked like an altar, claimed some fans, with Raja Ilya holding back her tears.
Some have also questioned whether Garrett had even converted to Islam.
One photo which showed off the newlyweds locking lips had also drew criticism from fans, claiming it was unnecessary.
A Netizen commented: “I want to ask.. did she get married in an Islamic way or not?”
Another followed up with: “I want to see a video of your solemnisation.”
Another Netizen asked: “Has you husband converted to to become a Muslim?”
A follower wrote: “Congratulations Raja Ilya but it would be nice if you upload a video of your solemnisation as I would love to see your husband pronounce the lafaz.”
Earlier, fans had doubts on whether there was any truth to the couple’s wedding as it took awhile for the actress to share photos of their nuptials.
Raja Ilya and Garrett tied the knot in a private ceremony in Perth, Australia after six years of dating.
