#Showbiz: I'm no husband stealer, you have 7 days to apologise, says Nina Iskandar

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Nina Iskandar has denied any involvement in wrecking a nine-year marriage of a TV drama assistant director.

The Brunei-born artiste said the accusations made by an online portal recently had affected her reputation and her family’s good name.

“I did not react or say anything about the allegations levelled at me, but instead, went straight to seek legal advice.

“This issue needs to be managed professionally and I have with me the legal team who will look into this matter, since it involves the good name of my family in Brunei,” she said at a special press conference held at the Royal Widad Residence, here, today.

The 27-year-old Nina or Nur Akmalina Iskandar who was accompanied by two lawyers at the press conference said that she only wanted to clear her name once and for all following the report, which she claimed as being untrue, produced by an online portal on March 12.

Nina claimed the portal had picked up the “story” which had been started by the man’s ex-wife.

“It was later spread by a makeup artiste,” said Nina who believed that it was done with malicious intent to tarnish her image.

The portal had carried an article, quoting sources, alleging that the Setelah Cinta Itu Pergi star had an affair with the production crew of the drama series, and that this had led to his divorce last month.

Nina is demanding a public apology from three parties — the portal and the two said individuals.

Her lawyer Mohd Irwan Mohd Mubarak said that he had issued a notice of demand to the three parties on March 15 and 21, and they would have until March 27 to apologise, failing which, they would face a lawsuit.
