KUALA LUMPUR: Lisa of red hot K-Pop girl group BlackPink turned 22 today and fans or Blinks wanted the bubbly idol to celebrate her special day with a milestone.
According to Koreaboo, fans started the celebration yesterday by trending #AceLalisaDay online and this eventually snowballed the world over making it hit the No. 1 spot on Twitter’s worldwide trends.
What made this a more joyous occasion was the fact that the amount of Twitter birthday hashtag mentions soon went over the million mark.
Blinks rejoiced at the breakthrough feat, which meant that the Bangkok-born, YG Entertainment artiste had officially broken the social media record to become the first ever female K-Pop idol in history to achieve that envious amount.
An enthusiastic fan of the talented rapper, singer and dancer wrote: “First female Idol to have 1 million tweets for a birthday hashtag and it is still going. LISA PAVED THE WAY. LISA IS BIGGER THAN KPOP! #AceLalisaDay.”
Another wrote: “To the cutest & bubbly girl with the brightest smile! You’re the first ever female k-idol to get over 1 MILLION tweets + the hashtag trending for your birthday, proving that power is found in women. Happy birthday Lisa, you deserve this all & more! #AceLalisaDay #HappyLisaDay.”
Congrats and happy birthday to Lisa! The leggy idol, together with Jisoo, Rose and Jennie, will be busy entertaining fans as they continue with their BlackPink World Tour (In Your Area) concerts that will take them to the US and Canada, as well as Europe and Australia in the coming months.
