KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Kartina Aziz has been diagnosed to have experienced a mild stroke.
Yesterday, the 64-year-old Mami Jarum star complained of having a slight speech difficulty apart from feeling lethargic. She was then taken to Sungai Buloh Hospital.
“Praise to God, I’m not in grave condition. The doctors who examined me yesterday said that the symptoms pointed to a mild case of stroke,” she said in a news report today.
Kartina only spent a few hours in the hospital to undergo check-up.
She said that other than finding difficulty in her speech, according to the result of tests and CT scan conducted, doctors have informed her that she would still need to visit the hospital for further check-ups to monitor her heart.
“The doctors have also advised me to take sufficient rest, and to undergo speech therapy,” said Kartina who is touched by the pouring text messages from concerned friends.
Kartina, who is currently involved in a TV drama series titled Utusan Cinta Buat Adam, plans to return to the film set tomorrow, to complete her part.
