KUALA LUMPUR: Comedian and actor Syed Umar Mokhtar Al-Juffrey, popularly known as Abam Bocey, died at his home in Gombak early today.
His wife, Siti Norhidayah Mohd Ali, found him unresponsive when she tried to wake him up to perform the Subuh prayer.
"He had a fever for two days, and complained of a headache. When I tried to wake him up this morning, he did not respond," said Siti Norhidayah when contacted.
Abam Bocey, 32, leaves behind a 5-month-old son, Syed Uthman Hamzah Al-Juffrey.
It is learnt that the funeral prayer for his remains will take place at the Gombak Utara Mosque after the Asar prayer.
Abam Bocey belonged to the comedic Bocey Group, along with Muhammad Fadzlie Nizam (Fad Bocey) and Mohd Nasir Hamzah (Achey Bocey).
He had appeared in several films, including Isteri Untuk Dijual and Suatu Malam Kubur Berasap 2. – BERNAMA
