KUALA LUMPUR: Popular actor and TV host Alif Satar defended his Red Velvet co-star Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor over the allegations of not conforming to the strict SOP at her wedding recently.
He said that the incident could have happened without any intention of flouting the guidelines.
"I'm sure it was not intentional. With her standing in the society, I'm certain that the last thing Neelofa would want was a problem on her big day, let alone create one which is a highly-sensitive issue right now," said the 30-year-old artiste at the media launch of Astro's "Buka Lembaran Baharu" campaign for fasting month in Bukit Jalil yesterday.
Alif who is also one of the campaign ambassadors recovered from Covid-19 last year.
"Life must go on, but remember to always stick to the SOPs," he said.
Many cried foul over alleged breaches of the SOPs during the solemnisation ceremony of Neelofa, 32, and PU Riz, 26, at a hotel here last Saturday.
