KUALA LUMPUR: Popular artistes Awal Ashaari and Janna Nick ended their run as hosts for TV3's long-running entertainment TV show Melodi yesterday.
During their last episode, the dynamic duo also introduced versatile actress Nabila Huda as the programme's new host.
A virtual interview segment was also recorded for the episode which saw the 36-year-old daughter of rock legend Amy of Search expressing her excitement on the matter.
"Praise be to God, never decline rezeki. Honestly, I'm ready to get out of my comfort zone.
"All this while I had been invited to appear on Melodi as a guest but now I have suddenly become its host," she said.
The award-winning actress added that she had been a loyal fan of the show aired live every Sunday on TV3.
Nabila also admitted that she was a big fan of both Awal and Janna's work on the programme.
"I want to use Awal and Janna as idol inspirations to continue the legacy of their great work on this show.
"But I will be the sole host from now on. Because of this, I'll be seeking out a string of tips from both of them on how to effectively handle this new gig," she said.
Awal has been a host of Melodi for the past eight years, while Janna has served for four years.
During the MCO, the show has been conducted as a virtual programme with both previous hosts recording their parts from their respective homes.
