KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesian actress Vanessa Angel and her husband, Febri Andriansyah died in a road accident yesterday.
According to Indonesian news reports, the automobile accident occurred close to the Jakarta-Surabaya Toll, near Nganjuk in East Java.
Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Gatot Repli Handoko said that three other occupants in the vehicle only suffered from light injuries including the couple's 12-month-old son, Gala Sky Ardiansyah.
"Two died while three others had minor injuries. The two dead are Vanessa Adzania and Febri Andriansyah," he said.
The bodies of the deceased were brought to the Bhayangkara Surabaya Hospital.
Vanessa, 27, was believed to be with her family on the way to Surabaya.
The actress had posted several video clips celebrating the birthday of her step brother Fuji on her Instagram account the day before.
Many Indonesian celebrities including Ivan Gunawan, Ayu Ting Ting and Ruben Onsu took to social media to offer their condolences on the tragic passing of Vanessa and her husband.
Fans also expressed their grief and shock at the sudden death of the actress.
