KUALA LUMPUR: Popular Indonesian actress from the 1980s, Marissa Haque, died at around 2am on Wednesday at age 61, according to Kompas.
The actress of Madurese, Dutch, Pakistani and French descent was reported to have been found lifeless in her bedroom by her husband, actor Ikang Fawzi.
"She died in her bedroom. Nothing else, she was already in a motionless state. Her husband was there.
"There was no shortness of breath. If you ask about illness, she had no illness. Everything was fine with her," said Marissa's sister, Soraya Haque, to Indonesian media when met at the funeral site.
Before that, Marissa's body was transported to the hospital where authorities confirmed her death after an examination.
Meanwhile, Marissa's daughter, Marsha Chikita, shared the sad news and talked about her mother's last request in a recent post on Instagram Stories.
She said that her mother had previously mentioned her wish to be buried at Taman Pemakaman Umum Tanah Kusir in South Jakarta.
Chikita also asked her followers on Instagram to help with providing information on how to carry out the process.
Marissa first met Ikang after they both starred in the 1984 movie, Tinggal Landas Buat Kekasih, directed by Sophan Sophiaan.
They then tied the knot in July 1986.
The couple have two daughters, Marsha Chikita Fawzi and Isabella Muliawati Fawzi.
In addition to acting, Marissa was also a politician and a lecturer at a university.
