KUALA LUMPUR: Action star and well-known villain actor Azlan Komeng, 48, sustained a broken left leg and injuries to his face, head, hands, and legs after being involved in an accident early yesterday in Kuala Lipis, Pahang.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. when the Perodua Kancil driven by Azlan, with his wife, Nur Nilam Ortiz, and their 5-year-old son, Adam, onboard, collided with a police truck.
While Azlan's wife suffered rib, face, and head injuries, their child was unharmed.
Azlan, whose real name is Muhammad Azlan Kamiran, explained they were returning to Kuala Lumpur after an audition in Kuala Lipis when the crash happened.
"It wasn't a case of me losing control. The police truck suddenly veered into my lane. I tried to avoid it but couldn't, and it hit the front of my car," Azlan told Harian Metro.
Both Azlan and his wife are currently receiving treatment at Kuala Lipis Hospital.
The news of the accident was shared by Nur Nilam Ortiz on TikTok, where it gained significant attention from fans, fellow artistes, and social media users, many of whom sent well wishes for the couple's speedy recovery.
