KUALA LUMPUR: Media Prima Berhad (MPB) via Media Prima Audio (MPA) has announced a new addition to its stable of radio stations called Molek FM.
The brand new station, going by the tagline "Gu Pantai Timur", is set to entertain and celebrate the communities in the East Coast through lifestyle, culture and traditional aspects that are representative to the area, aside from playing the best and most popular music.
"After the success of rebranding Media Prima's radio network platform last August, MPA is very happy to announce the launch of a new radio station, Molek FM.
"Molek FM will cater to a wider demographic of listeners in the 18 to 39 age group. Aside from that, there will be a targeted focus on listeners aged 24 to 34 in the East Coast states of Kelantan and Terengganu," read a recent statement from MPA.
The introduction of the new station's ensemble of radio announcers as well as the content details will be revealed in a press conference on Friday.
Molek FM will be accessible via the radio frequencies 105.1 FM in Kota Baru and 93.6 FM in Kuala Terengganu.
For more information on Molek FM, follow its official social media accounts on Facebook Molekfm, Instagram @molekfm and Twitter @MolekFM, as well as YouTube Molek TV.
MPA aims to be Malaysia's No.1 audio broadcaster across all three vernaculars (BM, English and Chinese) by creating the best content that will resonate with Malaysians.
The company is guided by regular research and analysis of local markets and target groups, which allows it to understand its listeners and advertisers, which in turn enables it to know exactly how to engage, inform and entertain.
MPA is currently represented through five broadcast brands — Hot FM, Buletin FM, Molek FM, Fly FM and 8FM.
Audio+ is also part of the organisation, as part of its digital listens initiative where the app supports MPA's radio stations as well as podcasts and other engaging content.
