KUALA LUMPUR: Media Prima Audio's Malay-language radio station Hot FM continues to earn the trust and loyalty of Malaysians, securing its position as the No.1 radio station in the country with 3.8 million fans.
During the 9am to 11.59am time slot, the station grew by 12.3 per cent, reaffirming that Malaysians love starting their day with Hot FM's engaging blend of music, entertainment, and conversation.
This was based on the latest Nielsen Consumer & Media View (CMV) Survey 1, 2024 (July 2023 - June 2024), which reaffirms the profound connection between Malaysians and their trusted radio stations.
With 5.8 million fans tuning in weekly, radio remains a vital part of daily life across the country, offering comfort, music, and stories that speak to the heart.
"We couldn't be prouder to hold onto the top spot – it's a reflection of the deep bond we share with our fans.
"Every show, every song, and every moment on air is crafted with the fans in mind," said Hot FM senior content director, Raja Khairil Idris Raja Aznan, in a recent statement.
He added: "Because they listen to us, we listen to them. We're always striving to create the content they love, whether it's through unforgettable experiences like the Bekpes Hot 5KM Fun Run, OB on a train, or our exciting contests."
Media Prima Audio's other radio stations also pulled in impressive numbers, with English-language station Fly FM growing by 12.8 per cent to reach 2.4 million fans.
Kool 101 saw a growth of 65.4 percent, reaching 387,000 fans, with a particular surge in the 9am to 11.59am time slot.
According to the GFK Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) Wave 2 2024, Molek FM recorded an impressive growth of 202,000, amounting to a total of 1.07 million listeners, further solidifying its position as a leading Malay-language station on the East Coast.
As a key player among Chinese-language stations, Eight FM remains a steadfast choice for 363,000 fans.
