PETALING JAYA: Radio announcers Ean Nasrun and Haniff Hamzah have been revealed as the new hosts of the morning show on Fly FM beginning Aug 5.
The weekday slot, to run from 6am to 10am, is called 'EH! It's Ean and Haniff On The Fly Breakfast.'
"Joining Fly FM feels like a homecoming. The radio station reflects the people's and my personal sentiment, showing true social awareness.
"I was in awe of their campaigns, such as '24 Hours Of Hind's Hall', '#MacklemoreInMalaysia' (to persuade the pro-Palestinian artiste to perform in Malaysia) and even marching in pro-Palestine rallies.
"These are significant reasons why I want to make this move, therefore being a part of Fly FM's direction to be the most talked about English radio and content brand in Malaysia," said the 40-year-old announcer when met at a press conference held here earlier today to announce the station's new project.
Meanwhile, this will mark his co-host Haniff's first foray on a local English radio network.
"Being a part of an English radio station is something I've always wanted to do, it's going to be a challenge, but the project happening at Fly FM, focused on memorable and community orientated content, excites me," explained Haniff, also 40.
"Fly FM aims to continue to be one of Malaysia's leading and most talked about English radio brands, now being driven by the dynamic energy and passion of Ean and Haniff," shared Sean Matjeraie, Fly FM's content director.
Also present at the event was Media Prima Audio CEO, Nazri Noran.
