#Showbiz: Sept 30 concert in aid of Zamani

KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran rock singer Zamani Ibrahim of Slam is set to join in a special concert on Sept 30 to raise funds for his medical treatment.

Zamani, 51, has been suffering from scoliosis since 2015 and needs to undergo surgery in November.

In aid of the singer, Indera Entertainment has organised Konsert Doa Buat Zamani Unplugged, and it will take place at 8pm in Zepp Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Bintang City Centre, Jalan Hang Tuah here.

The concert's organising chairman Aalan Ahmad said that the concert aimed to assist Zamani's medical expenses, including post-surgery medication.

"Zamani will have to rest for a while after surgery, and that will affect his income. This concert will help raise sufficient funds to make ends meet during his long break," said Aalan in a statement today.

The 120-minute concert will also feature singers Fauziah Latiff, Datuk Ramli Sarip, Rahim Maarof and Datuk Aznil Nawawi.

Zamani said that he would be performing some of his lesser-known songs unplugged, and it will also be his first solo concert.

Tickets, priced at RM238, RM288, RM388, and RM499, are available at www.myticket.asia.
