#Showbiz: Singaporean comedian Kumar returns to Malaysia for side-splitting shows

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular Singaporean comedian Kumar will be back to entertain Malaysians here as well as in Kuching and Kota Kinabalu in October.

The flamboyant artiste, whose full name is Kumarason Chinnadurai, announced the news in a recent post on his Instagram account.

"I'm finally coming back to one of my favourite cities ever with my brand new show. It's a very special show that brings the other side, the 'Rowdy' side of my personality."

"I'm so looking forward to bringing my best to all of you who've been waiting. It's time to get ROWDY!" he wrote.

It was previously reported that Kumar was unable to perform at The Big LOL Show here in June after testing positive for Covid-19.

Hailed as one of South East Asia's most iconic and respected performing artistes and a brilliant stand-up comedian, Kumar will be utilising his unflinching comedic style to tackle various current topics that include the pandemic, lockdowns, pop culture and complicated relationships in his new shows.

He is also expected to share his personal stories of growing up in "ghetto" Singapore as an awkward child working to fend off bullies.

Fans will be able to catch him in action at Pullman Hotel in Kuching, Sarawak on Oct 6 and at the Le Meridien Hotel in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, as well as at Zepp KL, here from Oct 13 to 15.

Tickets, priced from RM214 (Early bird price), are currently available for purchase at https://lolasia.bigtix.io.

Limited early bird discounts are available on a first come first served basis.
