#Showbiz: Indonesian rockers Padi Reborn celebrate 25 years in music with December concert

KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesian rock legends Padi Reborn are set to mark 25 years in music with a special concert at Zepp KL here on Dec 3.

The concert, dubbed Konsert 25 Tahun Padi Reborn, will see the Indonesian band comprising Fadly, Piyu, Ari, Rindra and Yoyo entertain Malaysian fans for two hours in the world class concert hall which opened earlier this year.

Konsert 25 Tahun Padi Reborn is presented by Qew Communications Sdn Bhd.

"We are delighted to celebrate our 25th birthday in Malaysia, as we have lots of loyal and supportive fans in the country. We want to thank them all for standing by us all these years," said the group's main guitarist and founder member Piyu in a statement today.

Qew Communications director Datin Rahizahwati Yahya said: "Padi Reborn is raring to rock Kuala Lumpur. They love their Malaysian fans dearly and consider KL as their second home."

Padi Reborn, formerly known as Padi, was formed in 1997 and its best known album to date has been Lain Dunia (1999) which sold more than 800,000 copies.

Its follow-up album Sesuatu (2001) sold 1.6 million copies.

Padi changed its name to Padi Reborn in 2017, and launched its sixth album Indera Keenam in 2019.

Tickets to the concert are priced at RM169, RM199, RM269, RM339 and RM6,000 (VIP).
