KUALA LUMPUR: Oh My English! actress Amelia Henderson will not "follow the footsteps" of fellow artiste Idris Khan who reached an out-of-court settlement with drama producer Datuk A Aida yesterday.
Amelia, 27, said that she strongly believed that "right was on her side" and would defend herself in Aida's on-going lawsuit against her at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court.
"I fully respect my friend Idris' decision to settle his case out of court. But on my part I stand firm in defending myself," said Amelia in an interview with Harian Metro Online yesterday.
It was reported yesterday that Aida and Idris reached an out-of-court settlement, after she withdrew her lawsuit against Idris in front of Sessions Court Judge Zulqarnain Hassan.
Idris' counsel Jason Wee had appealed for the actor's case to be settled amicably out of court, and Aida's counsel agreed.
Last June, Idris and Amelia were sued by Aida for alleged breach of contract involving a drama series, Sekali Lagi Cinta Kembali.
