KUALA LUMPUR: Gerak Khas actress Abby Abadi has defended her 18-year-old daughter Marissa Dania Hakim from allegations that she "wrecked" a woman's marriage.
Abby, who has been slammed by netizens for her alleged silence, said in an Instagram post today that she would respond to the allegations soon.
"I will answer this shortly. It is no use pointing fingers right now," she said in an Instagram post which featured a photo of Marissa and herself.
A mother of two recently claimed on social media that her former husband had an affair with Marissa, the second child of Abby and actor Norman Hakim.
She also lodged a police report and claimed that Marissa "caused" her husband to divorce her.
The woman also claimed that she had "sought permission" from Abby and Norman to highlight the "scandal" on social media.
Norman and Abby were married from 2002 to 2009 and have three children.
Norman and Abby could not be reached for further comments.
