KUALA LUMPUR: Netizens have been moved by actor Norman Hakim's message on social media in conjunction with his daughter Marissa Dania's 19th birthday yesterday.
Norman, in an Instagram post, recalled the moment of Marissa's birth in his car while he was ferrying his ex-wife, actress Abby Abadi to hospital.
"It was 19 years ago today. Papa will never forget the moment he celebrated Marissa's birth in the car.
"Papa remembers the first word that came out of Mama's mouth when Marissa arrived.
"She said Marissa has Papa's nose.
"My worries quickly disappeared when I saw your face.
"You brought joy into your parents' lives and always do," said Norman.
Norman added that he loved Marissa, her husband Aslam, and his first wife Umisya Mazlan as his own children.
"Our life tests are different. Papa's prayers for you will never end," said Norman.
Netizens praised Norman for being a patient and forgiving father who was always on his daughter's side.
"I greatly admire you Norman. A good father you are.
