#SHOWBIZ: Marissa Dania's first child dies at birth

KUALA LUMPUR: Influencer Marissa Dania Hakim has lost her first baby after delivery.

According to Harian Metro, a source claimed that Marissa, who is the daughter of artistes Abby Abadi and Norman Hakim, was six months pregnant and had been rushed to the hospital after complaining of abdominal pain.

"It is understood that on the day of the incident, Marissa and her husband (Aslam) had attended a product launch event but she was later taken to the hospital after complaining of stomach pains.

"However, the premature baby had died after delivery," said the source.

According to another source, the baby was safely buried the next day.

"Only her father and closest confidants know of this matter," the source said.

Meanwhile, Marissa had posted an Instagram Story that contained a photo of food usually prepared for women undergoing confinement.

She also included a picture of Aslam in the same entry.

Previously, Marissa had kept mum about speculation of her pregnancy after it went viral on social media.

When met by the media, she only asked people to pray for everything to be simplified.

Rumours of her pregnancy arose after netizens spotted what looked like a 'baby bump' when she celebrated her sister's birthday on July 16.

Previously, Marissa became the talk of the town when she allegedly got married in Thailand to Aslam, who already has a wife, on Dec 27 last year.

The marriage was later confirmed by Abby on March 16.
