KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran France-based singer Datuk Sheikh Abdullah Sheikh Ahmad Bakhbereh or Dato Shake will be back to entertain Malaysians in December.
Shake, 73, will take fans on a musical trip down memory lane at Zepp KL in Jalan Hang Tuah here on Dec 16.
Shake's two-hour concert which begins at 8pm is titled Dato Shake Live At Zepp KL 2023 and is presented by InTour Live Events and iMe Entertainment Group.
InTour said in a statement yesterday that Shake whose best known songs include Umi, Pulanglah and Anugerah Dari Kegagalan will perform most of his hits including those in English and French.
"Fans of Dato Shake will be taken on a nostalgic journey that features all of the milestones in his four-decade singing career," said the statement.
Shake said that he had actually planned a tour of major Malaysian cities in 2020 but the Covid-19 pandemic and Movement Control Order (MCO) halted his plans.
"It is so good to be back in Kuala Lumpur, I cannot wait for my big day at Zepp KL which is a state-of-the-art concert hall," said Shake.
Tickets are priced from RM358 to RM5,000 and will be sold at 11am on Oct 3 at www.ticketcharge.com.my.
