KUALA LUMPUR: Popular singer Nick Carter of American pop group Backstreet Boys will be in town next February specially to entertain fans at Zepp KL.
Presented by Hitman Solutions and Happymoon, Carter's two-hour show is part of his Who I Am world tour.
The 8pm concert on Feb 26 is set to be an unforgettable night of
nostalgia and pop hits as 44-year-old Carter takes to the stage for the first time since his 2015 performance at Stadium Negara during the Backstreet Boys' In A World Like This tour.
After wrapping up a world tour with his bandmates last year, Carter made a powerful solo comeback in 2023.
His Who I Am world tour celebrates this milestone with three single releases, Superman, Made For Us and Never Break My Heart (Not Again).
Fans can expect an extensive setlist blending tracks from his solo catalogue, Backstreet Boys' classics, and personal favourites of the singer-songwriter.
Hitman CEO Rohit Rampal and Happymoon managing director Kesavan Purusotman said in a statement yesterday that throughout 2024, they had explored various genres with international acts and wanted to bring in a pop icon who defined an entire era.
"Nick Carter's incredible journey has seen tremendous success with his group tours, and his solo world tour is creating waves globally, making him the perfect choice.
"We are thrilled to bring this experience to Malaysian fans, especially millennials who have waited since 2015 for his return."
Carter's career spans over three decades filled with sold-out arenas, including projects in television, film, philanthropy, and publishing.
With the Backstreet Boys, Carter holds the title of being part of the best-selling boy band in history.
Rohit and Kesavan said: "This concert is more than just music, it is an opportunity for fans to relive their childhood dreams by singing along to iconic hits like Everybody, I Want It That Way and As Long As You Love Me.

Having toured across the United States, Canada and South America, Carter is now set to captivate Asian audiences.
