KUALA LUMPUR: The husband of the late actress Azean Irdawaty, Khairil Anwar ZM Rashidi, has been laid to rest earlier this morning at the Muslim cemetery in Section 9, Kota Damansara, Selangor.
The news of his passing was shared on an Instagram story by his daughter Ineesa Irdayanty yesterday.
"Abah had just passed on at 5.12pm at Sungai Buloh Hospital," she wrote.
Khairil Anwar, known as Karl among his friends, is survived by his daughters: Ineesa and his elder sister Elza Irdalynna.
He was 71.
Azean passed away on Dec 17, 2013 due to complications from several health problems, including breast cancer.
The couple's eldest son, actor Khaeryll Benjamin Ibrahim a.k.a. Benjy died in Medan, Indonesia in 2021.
