#Showbiz: Oops!...Aliff Syukri did it again

KUALA LUMPUR: The mother of the controversial entrepreneur Datuk Aliff Syukri Kamarzaman, Rozita Ibrahim, hopes that her son will stop making a fool out of himself by releasing music videos that could only court controversies and bring embarrassment, not only to himself but also his family and Islam at large.

His 53-year-old mother, who is a self-made entrepreneur and founder of herb-based products under the brand Sendayu Tinggi, shared her disappointment in an entry on her Instagram earlier today after Aliff released a sneak preview of the music video of his new Hari Raya song (titled 'Love Raya') yesterday.

"Don't embarrass yourself just for content. What is haram, remains haram, whether it is a Hari Raya song or otherwise," wrote Rozita in her comment on the preview of the video which according to her, lacked sensitivity towards the holy month of Ramadan and the Muslim community at large.

"We're already entering the last 10 days of Ramadan when most believers would seek Lailatul Qadr (a night of great blessing in which Allah showers His mercy upon believers), but you are releasing this stupid and immoral song!

"Aren't you embarrassed at all? Where's your dignity? I'm not strong enough to face all the naysayers who say I did not raise you well."Nobody liked the video…delete it," she wrote.

Following that, Aliff, 36, later decided to heed his mother's advice by doing so.In an entry on his IG earlier today, he apologised to his mother and to all who had seen the said preview video.

"I don't want to blame anybody, but myself," he said, before adding that he was a little disappointed that netizens had gone overboard in criticising his new video even before its full release.
