KUALA LUMPUR: Laksa entrepreneur Syed Muhammad Syah Hasif Syed Othman has thanked actress Fauziah Ahmad Daud for clearing his name following allegations that he "gave her problems" on drama sets.
Syed Muhammad, 32, said in an interview with Harian Metro yesterday that he and his wife Fatin Syazwani Ishak, 27, were not the social media influencer duo who were mentioned by Fauziah or Ogy in a recent interview as the "troublesome duo" who frequently annoyed her during the filming of her dramas.
"Some people made baseless allegations against us for more than a week. We learned about this from our assistant.
"At first I chose to ignore it but when I lost nine business contracts I decided to do something about it, as it had affected my livelihood," said Syed Muhammad.
Syed Muhammad who has never met Fauziah nor worked with her subsequently contacted the veteran Azura and Ali Setan actress via Instagram and told her what happened.
"Kak Ogy was shocked and strongly sympathised with us. She told us that she would be coming up with a video to clear our names and before we knew it, the video appeared on her Instagram account."
Syed Muhammad thanked Fauziah for her kind gesture and described her as a real superstar.
"Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Kak Ogy. It is truly an honour to know you."
