#SHOWBIZ: Syasya to concentrate on married life, completing studies after leaving Dolla

KUALA LUMPUR: Despite her singing career being at its peak, former Dolla member Noor Syasya Afiqah Shahrizal a.k.a. Syasya says that it is time for her to exit the 'It' girl band and quit singing to move on to the next phase of her life.

As such, the 23-year-old artiste married Nasrullah Mohd Sapie, 23, on Apr 20, only two weeks after Dolla announced via a post on social media that she was no longer part of the popular group.

"After much deliberation, I decided that it was time for me to move on and embark on a new part of my life, which I will share with my husband," said Syasya to reporters at her wedding reception held in Shah Alam, Selangor recently.

"If I'm meant to be a singer only up until recently, I'm fine. Perhaps there's something else for me to explore after this. Who knows?" said Syasya who added that she was also wrapping up her studies in Psychology at the Management & Science University (MSU) which had been put on hold for a while now.

She added that although it was difficult for her to leave Dolla, she also believed that the time had come for her to decide for her future.

"But I'm still keeping in touch with all of them. It's a pity they couldn't be here tonight as the group has a show to perform."

Meanwhile, fellow singers such as Yasmin Aziz and Haqiem Rusli were among those who performed at the reception, besides Syasya herself, who sang Virgoun's 'Surat Untuk Starla.'
