#SHOWBIZ: ' Here4U' a tribute to Dolla fans

KEEPING up with Dolla is a bit more challenging these days as the country's most celebrated girl group continues breaking new ground very fast.

With something always up their sleeves, the group cannot stop creating more milestones —  a testament to their dedication and hard work which has resulted in continuous social presence and popularity.

Fresh from announcing their upcoming concert a few weeks ago, the trio has come up with a new single called 'Here4U', which is a heartfelt ode to their fans, the iDollas.

The group's eldest member Sabrina Rusli, also known as  Sabronzo, said in a recent statement that 'Here4U' is extra special as it is co-written by Tabitha Lam or Tabby — a key member of Dolla.

"It all started from the beautiful instrumental part you hear in the song!

"Our producer Hyuk Shin allowed Tabby to co-write the song and come up with the melody."

Tabby said: "Both he and fellow composer Chris Young guided me so well throughout the entire process.

"With Dolla's concert fast approaching, we thought it was perfect timing for a wholesome fan dedication.

"After crafting the melody in the studio, I went home, brainstormed on the lyrics and here we are."

Sabrina said that the main inspiration behind 'Here4U' are the iDollas.

"They surprise us every time by standing behind us and holding us up in every difficult situation we have been through. They are truly the pillars in Dolla's life."

Tabby said: "I also drew inspiration from my fellow Dolla girls Sabronzo and Angelina 'Angel' Chai. It's a heartfelt thanks for their friendship and sticking around through all the obstacles!"

She added that like some of their previous hits, the song comes in two versions — one in Malay co-written by Putri Dahlia, Hyuk Shin and herself, and the other in English co-written by Hyuk Shin and herself too.

Sabrina said the experience of working on the track was very wholesome.

"It's great that the co-writer of the song is our very own member.

"The vision for the song has been translated very well in the studio and it feels so good to be part of a project that everyone is personally connected to."

Completing the track is a memorable lyric video depicting the group's journey from the very beginning.

"It is an honest visual representation of what we girls had to go through to reach our current status.

"The video was cleverly created from the many video clips recorded in our very own phones," said Tabby.

She added that the video is out on YouTube, and they are finally sharing their precious moments for the world to see.

Despite releasing a new single and working on their upcoming concert, the girls have more surprises coming up soon.

Angel said: "Dolla is working on multiple big festival shows for the rest of the year. We are also working on new music and our direction as a group is moving forward.

"We hope our fans will love this song as much as we do because we put a lot of thought into it.

"Hopefully they  can all relate to it and understand the message behind it."

The group hopes their fans will know that the track is dedicated to them.

Sabrina said: "We'd love for them to know that the song was a tribute to their unwavering support all these years.

"'Here4U' is an open letter for our iDollas in the form of a song."

'Here4U' is now available on all digital platforms.
