KUALA LUMPUR: Newly-divorced singer-actress Bella Astillah, 30, said that her two children were her "most precious" belongings in the world.
"I don't intend to claim any property. The most precious things in the world which are mine are my beloved children," she said in an interview with Berita Harian following her divorce from Singaporean singer-actor Aliff Aziz at the Federal Territories Syariah Court in Jalan Duta today.
Aliff pronounced the divorce with a single 'talak' at 1.10pm before Syarie judge Wan Mohd Najib. He agreed to give Bella custody of their children Mohamad Ayden Adrean, 7, and Ara Adreanna, 4.
Bella said that she was glad the court proceedings went smoothly.
"Thank God it all went smoothly. May this be my last time in this court," she said.
"Please pray for me and the children. Thank you."
When asked why she did not greet Aliff with the 'salam' before he divorced her, Bella said that she had "her own reasons".
"Let time give the answer," she said, advising everyone to "leave things to God".
