KUALA LUMPUR: After six years, renowned singer Bruno Mars is set to return to Malaysia to perform a solo concert at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil on Sept 17.
The announcement was made by organiser Live Nation Malaysia, via social media posts announcing that ticket sales for the concert will begin next Friday.
"Bruno Mars will be coming to Kuala Lumpur this September.
"We can't wait to share the live experience of the 24K Magic tour," wrote Live Nation Malaysia in a post uploaded yesterday.
Prior to his visit to Malaysia, Mars is scheduled to perform concerts in Taiwan on Sept 8, followed by Indonesia for two days on Sept 13 and 14.
Earlier in January, the singer known for hits like The Lazy Song, That's What I Like, and Grenade, had announced concerts in Bangkok on Mar 30 and Singapore on Apr 5.
Fans expressed surprise and excitement in the comment section, as Malaysia was not initially listed as part of his Southeast Asia tour locations.
Throughout his career, Mars has become the second singer to win the Grammy Award for 'Record Of The Year' three years in a row.
The last time the Hawaii-born singer performed in Malaysia was six years ago during the Bruno Mars 24K Magic tour on April 11, 2018.
