KUALA LUMPUR: Popular R&B legend Ning Baizura is set to show her witty side in a brand new comedy show this August.
And for the first time she is teaming up with the iconic comedienne Joanne Kam and popular radio star Shazmin Shamsuddin in a two-hour comedy special that celebrates Malaysian women — The Wow Show Live.
Staged at the Petaling Jaya Performing Arts Centre (PJPAC) in 1 Utama Shopping Centre at 8.30pm daily on Aug 9 and 10, this show promises a night of outrageous laughs and boundary-pushing humour.
In this ultimate "women-on-women" comedy show, Ning, Shazmin and Kam will engage audiences in heart-to-heart, no-holds-barred and transformative discussions, sprinkled with sharp repartees, and tongue-in-cheek social commentaries on the modern woman's love life.
The Wow Show Live promises to leave audiences in stitches with its razor-sharp wit and unabashed humour.
Ning will also serenade fans with her newly remixed hit songs and premiere her newest single after a decade.
Joining in the fun are popular stand-up comedians Shamaine Othman, Papi Zak and Kael as well as actors Sheikh Irfan Mansor and Izzaldin K of Cinderella fame.
