#SHOWBIZ: Sissy Imann and band to perform at DPAC

KUALA LUMPUR: For her upcoming showcase, singer Sissy Imann will be performing together with five other musicians who will be accompanying her at the show.

In a news report today, the 28-year-old artiste said while for her previous performances she would usually use minus one music, she wanted to try a new experience this time.

"I've been practising with the band since January, before deciding to put up this showcase," said Sissy who will also be on the keyboards besides providing the vocals.

"Since dropping my album last year, I'd been toying with the idea of putting up a showcase, but due to other commitments, I couldn't do it until now," said Sissy who completed her Master's degree in March.

"Now that I've wrapped that up, I have more time to focus on my music career again."

Sissy Imann The Showcase will take place at Blackbox Damansara Performing Arts Centre (DPAC) on July 28.

The bandmembers are Irena Taib (on guitar), Anwar Amzah (acoustic guitar), Nisa Addina (violin), Melina William (bass) and Ruviyamin (drum).

"They're experienced musicians who had played at international music festivals. Among them, there's a music lecturer, music producer, and two who graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston."
