KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Ruhainies vehemently rejected allegations of her engagement to Aliff Aziz as claimed by various parties.
"It's not going to happen (engagement). It's not, even that (the spread of the engagement news) is getting worse. It's getting worse and worse as time goes on.
"I don't even know who did that. Suddenly the media made it a news item. I feel sad too because the news is not authentic," she said in a Harian Metro report today.
Ruhainies was met after the mention of the khalwat case involving Aliff and herself at the Federal Territories Syariah High Court, here. today.
Ruhainies also denied appearing in court today together with Aliff as claimed by various parties before.
"No, we came separately. But the time of the hearing is the same," she said.
Meanwhile, Ruhainies refused to answer questions regarding Aliff's ex-wife Bella Astillah's alleged accusations that she had destroyed their marriage and family.
"This question is too heavy. Regarding that, today's issue involves the khalwat case, I really don't want to touch on that other matter now.
"God willing, the answer to that will be revealed at the right time," she said.
Ruhainies added that as long as the khalwat case and the ensuing controversy were still ongoing, these things would be lingering in her mind to some extent.
"Of course, I feel disturbed too. I am also a normal human being," she said.
Earlier, Ruhainies and Aliff pleaded not guilty to the charge of the khalwat case involving them on March 9.
