KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Zarina Zainuddin was surprised when doctors confirmed her third child, Muhamad Naim Azrai, 21, has only one kidney.
Zarina claimed that she did not know of the matter until her son suddenly fainted at home, according to Berita Harian.
"I only found out yesterday. After the doctor did an examination, it was found that Naim only had one kidney.
"I only made the realisation after I was informed about this. All this time, Naim would spend a long time in the bathroom every time he wanted to urinate.
"I was sad because I was worried if there was anything wrong with him," she said in the news report.
Zarina added that Naim was advised not to do strenuous work but the doctor said there was no need to worry about his health.
"Naim has to start taking care of his diet and avoid fast food. He also has to drink a lot of water to help facilitate urination," she said.
Zarina added that her son would undergo a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedure today for further examination.
Aside from Naim, Zarina has three other children, namely Muhammad Razal Azrai, Muhammad Razil Azrai and Muhammad Adam Azrai.
