KUALA LUMPUR: Versatile artist Amy Mastura and family safely performed the haj recently.
Amy, 51, shared her newfound title of "hajah" through an Instagram post today.
In her post, Amy apologised to her fans for not sharing updates since embarking on the fifth pillar of Islam.
"Assalamualaikum, and greetings to everyone on this Friday. Alhamdulillah, my family and I have completed the fifth pillar of Islam.
"I also take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all the officers and ustaz who guided us and ensured we stayed on the right path," she said.
Amy acknowledged the challenges they faced but expressed gratitude that Allah blessed them with good companions throughout the journey.
Amy married Alvin Tham Suffian in June 2000 and they have two children, Adriana, 23, and Adalia, 20.
