KUALA LUMPUR: After a mere four months of marriage, local singer and actor Juztin Lan and social media influencer Quennie Ong have divorced.
The two took to Instagram to post a joint statement on their unfortunate split on Sunday.
"After five years of being together, we reluctantly accept that our relationship has ended.
"When we married, we came to realise that we couldn't manage the responsibilities it brought," read the post.
The two, who had been dating for five years before this, added that the divorce was amicable.
They reminded fans not to be surprised if they were to be seen together at events but also requested that the public give them space for now.
They ended the statement with: "We ended things peacefully and aren't on bad terms. We have made our statement and will not respond further regarding this matter."
During his solo concert at Zepp KL last November, the 34-year-old artiste proposed to Ong, who is also a fitness and dance instructor.
It is believed that the couple then tied the knot in March.
Rumours that their marriage was on the rocks began circulating recently following Ong's surprise deletion of all of her photos and videos with Lan from her Instagram account.
China Press reported that one particular photo of Ong and Lan at their registration allegedly featured a comment from the influencer that read: "Delete it, disgusting."
