KUALA LUMPUR: Popular influencer and actress Mek Yun was left speechless when faced with an awkward situation involving a proposition from a woman recently.
The 27-year-old celebrity, whose real name is Wee Yun Nee, took to Threads to share the weird experience.
"I want to tell you, yesterday a kakak came to take a picture with me.
"Then she asked me twice, 'do you want to be my husband's second wife?', while pointing in the direction of her husband, in front of their children," she said.
Although Mek Yun did not expect such an incident to happen to her, the social media personality just took it as a joke.
"I didn't know how to react. I just laughed while shaking my head," she said.
In the comments section, many netizens criticised the woman's action and didn't think that it was appropriate even as a joke.
"Very uncomfortable and didn't even consider the sensitivities of all involved," said one netizen.
Another added: "If I were this person's husband, I would run away."
