BUSINESSMAN Datuk Seri Adnan Abu or Datuk Red, 46, had a conversation with his 6-year-old daughter Anggrek that tickled netizens recently.
A live broadcast session on TikTok featured Datuk Red taking care of his children at home while his ex-wife, singer Adira Suhaimi, was working.
During a chat with the audience, one netizen had jokingly asked where his "girlfriend" Adira was.
When Datuk Red replied that his "lover" was busy working, his eldest daughter was mistakenly surprised to know that he had a girlfriend.
Playing along with the joke, Datuk Red said: "Papa's girlfriend is more beautiful than your Ami (her mother Adira). It's true, I want to get married."
When his daughter said she would tell her mother, Datuk Red said: "Go tell her, you think Papa is scared?"
But after telling another joke that he would have a new child with his girlfriend, Anggrek began to cry.
Datuk Red eventually said: "Yeah, Papa won't marry again. Let your father be without a partner until he is old. When you get married, your husband will put your dad in the old folks' home."
Netizens were amused to see the interaction between father and daughter.
Adnan and Adira were married in Songkhla, Thailand on Dec 3, 2015.
Their nine-year marriage ended in divorce on April 24 this year.
Aside from Anggrek, they have three other children — Asan, 5, Anggun, 4, and Ayob, 1.
It was previously reported that Datuk Red had asked for fans and friends to pray for his remarriage to Adira, scheduled for Aidilfitri next year.
