KUALA LUMPUR: Businessman Datuk Seri Adnan Abu, 46, is asking fans and friends to pray for his remarriage to singer Adira Suhaimi scheduled for Aidilfitri next year.
Adnan or Datuk Red said in a Berita Harian report today that he wanted to have a lively wedding ceremony, since they did not have one previously.
"We have discussed and informed Adira's elder brother, asking him to be our wedding guest later.
"Please pray that everything will work out right," he said.
Adnan said that he did not choose to remarry Adira because of her popularity as a singer.
"It's not because Adira is a celebrity. It's my personal decision," he said.
Adnan added that it was not easy to live alone and life would be easier if he had a wife to take care of him.
Adnan and Adira were married in Songkhla, Thailand on Dec 3, 2015.
However, their nine-year marriage ended in divorce on April 24.
They have four children, Anggrek, 6, Asan, 5, Anggun, 4, and Ayob, 1.
