#SHOWBIZ: Nidza Afham wanted to be famous, says sister Efahanie [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: "Afham once said he wanted to be famous. The whole of Malaysia knows of Kekfa's brother now but not like this Am. Not like this. Oh God."

This is what Efahanie, the sister of the late singer Muhammad Nidza Afham Mokhtar, wrote on the social media platform X.

His body was found in the Klang River in Klang at about 7pm yesterday after being reported missing.

Efahanie, who is known as Kekfa to Afham, said that she never expected her brother's name to suddenly be widely known after his disappearance went viral.

In a separate post, she wrote: "Yesterday, at this time we were already outside actively searching all of the places, I hoped that we could see Am again. Right till evening I was at the river feeling lost and directionless.

"We prayed that God would show us where Am is. I had told myself that I would accept that Am was no longer here. That acceptance now carries a heavy weight Am.

"I still felt like going out this morning to look for Am again. I still hope that all this never happened. Where else do I look for you Am. Not like this," she wrote.

According to Berita Harian, Afham's body would be taken to the Puncak Alam Mosque for prayers before being buried at the Felda Bukit Cherakah Islamic Cemetery.

Yesterday, Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed that the body of an adult man found in the Klang River at about 7pm last night was Afham, 23.

His body was then taken to the Forensic Medicine Unit of Shah Alam Hospital for post-mortem surgery.

Previously, the singer was reported missing after he went jogging alone at the Klang Stadium in Selangor.

Nidza Afham, who is also the brother of singer, Aufahanie, had participated in the reality TV competition I Can See Your Voice Season 3, before releasing a single titled, Ternyata Bukan Aku.
