KUALA LUMPUR: The disappearance of singer Nidza Afham Mokhtar, 23, is said to be linked to a robbery.
Nidza's younger sister, Afrina Hanie Mokhtar said in an interview with Berita Harian today that police believe it is related to a recent robbery in which he lost his debit card and some cash.
"My brother's identity card, student card and photo were not tampered with," said Afrina.
Afrina added that she and her mother had found Nidza Afham's wallet and mobile phone on bridge in Klang.
"It was left neatly in the middle of the bridge," she said, adding that two tow truck operators were also present there and helped them make a police report.
Afrina said that Nidza never had any disagreements with his loved ones and was not facing financial problems.
"Fortunately I know the password of his mobile phone, and I know what time he goes out," she said, adding that her brother had been jogging before he disappeared.
Afrina said that her family would continue to look for Nidza and give their full cooperation to the police.
Nidza was believed to be jogging outside Sultan Sulaiman Stadium in Klang before he went missing around 9pm yesterday.
