#SHOWBIZ: Puteri Sarah gets interim injunction against ex-employee

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Puteri Sarah Liyana Kamaruddin successfully obtained an interim injunction against her former employee Nazatul Nazira Zainol Abidin last Wednesday.

Harian Metro reported yesterday that the decision was made by the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court last Wednesday.

Puteri Sarah's lawyer, Azmi Mohd Rais, said that Nazira was found to have uploaded several statements on social media that could disturb Puteri Sarah and affect the proceedings of the case following mediation on Aug 1.

"The court has approved an Ex-Parte Injunction Order to prevent the defendant, the defendant's family members, the defendant's agents, and the defendant's representatives from harassing, threatening and uttering words that are defamatory and threatening against the plaintiff, the plaintiff's family members, the plaintiff's friends, and the plaintiff's agents, verbally, in writing and electronic messages," he said.

"The interim injunction order also prevents the defendant, the defendant's agents, and the defendant's representatives from making comments or statements related to ongoing cases in court," he said.

Puteri Sarah had earlier filed a breach of trust suit against Nazatul Nazira.

A mediation process was conducted on Aug 1 but it failed to reach an agreement.

A second mediation session will be held on Sept 25.
