KUALA LUMPUR: "This is the fate that's written for them," said actress Puteri Sarah Liyana regarding her ex-husband Syamsul Yusof's divorce from Ira Kazar, today after only over a year of marriage.
When contacted by Harian Metro, Puteri Sarah said she refused to comment on the suffering of others.
"Syamsul and I no longer have any ties, we only deal with matters relating to the children.
"For what happened today, I don't have any comment to offer. I don't want to add to anyone's suffering," she said.
When asked if she would be open to accepting her ex-husband back again, Puteri Sarah said that her main focus now was only on the children.
"I am happy with life now. Alhamdulillah.
"I want to earn money for the children. I want to raise them as best as possible," she said.
Earlier, the Kuala Selangor Lower Syariah Court confirmed the existence of taklik violations for five times by Syamsul against Ira Kazar since Aug 14.
Syarie Judge Mohd Faizal Habis confirmed the matter after examining all the documents filed by Ira on Aug 21.
Syamsul and Puteri Sarah tied the knot on March 8, 2014, and are blessed with a pair of children, Syaikhul Islam, 6, and Sumayyah, 4.
However, the couple divorced on June 14 last year.
