KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Syada Amzah, the younger sister of Shila, recently uploaded a brief video on her social media account wishing her estranged sibling a "happy birthday".
Syada, 26, said in a Harian Metro report yesterday that as siblings they may have had differences, but at the end of the day they were "flesh and blood".
"Blood is thicker than water. Despite having disagreements and even cooling-off periods, we are both sisters and the love will always be there," she said.
"And no sister will forget her sister's birthday anniversary because we are family!"
Syada said that the video of her and Shila in a car may have gone viral but it should "not be made into an issue" by netizens.
"There are many videos of both of us on my phone. I like to make them from time to time, especially videos to commemorate birthdays."
Syada added that Shila thanked her for the greeting, and deemed it a second birthday wish after an earlier one which Syada sent to her via WhatsApp.
"Feuds between siblings are pretty normal around the world. Even if it looks like we fight, it's not really a fight. The same it goes with both of us and our brother Syahir."
Syada said that Shila also kept in touch with their mother Fauziah Sarman via social media.
It was reported last year that Shila's parents Fauziah and veteran singer-actor Datuk ND Lala, as well as their children, were having a family feud.
