KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Ira Kazar, the ex-wife of director, Syamsul Yusof, said that they remain in great terms despite being divorced.
She told Harian Metro yesterday that even though their marriage did not last long, they did not hold grudges against each other.
"We still keep in touch and share views on certain things. Our relationship now is more of a friendly one.
Ira said that being friends with Syamsul was the right thing to do because it was good for their mental and emotional health.
"Syamsul and I want to go through life peacefully and focus on what is important in our lives," she said.
Ira is focusing on her singing career including her new duet with Alan D titled Tak Kisah.
"I want to focus on my career. There are many positive things I am looking forward to.
"We all have to learn from experience and keep moving forward. I wish the best for Syamsul, and I'm sure he wishes the same for me," said Ira.
On Sept 5, Syamsul and Ira were divorced at the Kuala Selangor Syariah Lower Court.
Syamsul and Ira were married on Jan 6 last year in Thailand.
