KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian-born TVB star Jacquelin Ch'ng recently ran into fellow Hong Kong-based actress Snowy Bai while in Kuala Lumpur.
In a recent Instagram Reel, Ch'ng was seen strolling along the bustling streets of Bukit Bintang, where she was filming content for her social media.
The 44-year-old noted that the intersection of Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan Bukit Bintang has become a trendy spot for influencers, and she wanted to capture a few shots of herself there.
"After getting the shots, I bumped into an old friend Snowy Bai, who I haven't seen in a long time," said Ch'ng, adding that she was surprised to see 36-year-old Bai in the city.
The China-born celebrity did not reveal why she was in town, but many netizens speculated that she was here for a holiday.
The two friends then hugged and posed for photos before going their separate ways.
Many netizens praised the pair for their beauty, while others hoped to bump into them.
"I hope there will be a chance for me to take a photo with you," said one netizen.
"Both of you are so pretty," said another.
Malaysia has long been a hotspot for many Hong Kong celebrities.
TVB general manager Eric Tsang, who is in KL to film a Chinese New Year movie, said during a recent press conference that Malaysia was a "best friend" to many Hong Kong stars.
