KUALA LUMPUR: The marriage between Chinese actress Eva Huang and billionaire Yang Zi might be on the rocks.
This speculation comes after a recent revelation they made on the Chinese reality show See You Again.
Huang, 41, of Kung Fu Hustle fame said that she had contemplated divorce several times.
"This is the third year I wanted to get a divorce. We're tied too deeply," she said.
Yang Zi, who serves as the vice chairman of China's Juli Group, went on to share that their marriage was not as perfect as it seemed.
"Our marriage may appear successful in front of outsiders, but it's a mess in reality," he said.
Huang and Yang Zi, who tied the knot in 2007, added that getting divorce is difficult due to several complications – including financial dependence and their responsibilities to their two children.
The couple's revelations drew mixed reactions on social media.
While some expressed sympathy and wished for them to resolve their marital issues soon, others speculated that it was just a publicity stunt.
Four years ago, Huang and Yang Zi sparked rumours about their relationship after sharing cryptic messages on social media, which many believed hinted at marital troubles.
However, they quickly dismissed the rumours.
