KUALA LUMPUR: The Most Popular Artiste winner at the upcoming 36th Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian (ABPBH 36) will walk away with a luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV).
The grand prize, courtesy of the event's main sponsor CONBOO, was revealed by ABPBH 36's organiser at an event held at Courtyard by Marriott Kuala Lumpur South, here last night.
Meanwhile, winners of Most Popular Male Singer and Most Popular Female Singer categories will each receive a 50gm gold wafer, also sponsored by CONBOO.
Also revealed last night were details of the ABPBH 36 gala night, scheduled to take place at Auditorium MBSA in Shah Alam, Selangor on Oct 11.
The event will be beamed live on TV3 and can be streamed live via the Tonton app from 9pm onwards.
Veteran comedienne Didie Alias, and previous three-time Most Popular Comedienne winner, will be helming the show with Fly FM radio announcer Haniff Hamzah and actress Riena Diana.
"I think it'll be a challenge for me to host this event, especially when paired with those two who are much younger," said Didie, 52, in jest.
Some of the presenters for the various awards include Datuk Seri Eizlan Yusof, Datuk Adi Putra, Rita Rudaini, Hannah Delisha, Puteri Sarah Liyana, Anna Jobling, Adira, Mawar Rashid, and Bella Astillah.
For entertainment, ABPBH 36 will feature performances by Zamani, Spider, Hazama, Haqiem Rusli, Ernie Zakri, Marsha Milan, Shiha Zikir, Usop, Ghidd, Tuju, MK, Meerfly, Benzooloo, and De Fam.
Also revealed last night were the top 36 artistes (from all categories, listed in aphabetical order) who are currently leading with most votes.
They are Aedy Ashraf, Aina Abdul, Alif Hadi, Alif Satar, Amir Masdi, Anna Jobling, Bella Hanna, DJ Sonic, Dolla, Ernie Zakri, Erysha Emyra, Elly Mazlein, Ezzanie Jasny, Fahmi Rahmat, Haqiem Rusli, Harissa Adlynn, Hisyam Hamid, Hun Haqeem, and Isyariana.
Others are Janna Nick, Joey Daud, Khai Bahar, Khairy Jamaluddin (KJ), Meerqeen, Nadhir Nasar, Putera Muhammad, Puteri Sarah Liyana, Raja Azura, Raja Ema, Senario, Shah Iskandar, Siti Khadijah Halim, Siti Nordiana, Sophia Albarakbah, Syafiq Kyle, and Tyzo.
Fans can currently vote on the ABPBH 36 website (www.abpbh.com.my) until 11.59pm on Sept 30.
While voting is free, fans can also opt for multiple voting, to increase the winning chances of a particular star, via subscription of BH digital or Tonton.
