KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran actress Azah Aziz, 51, plans to settle down in Malaysia after her husband, Daud Leroy Abdullah retires in a few years.
Azah said in a Harian Metro report yesterday that she and her sons Aaron and Justin like to live in Malaysia, but her husband is planning to have the family go to France.
"My children and I are okay living anywhere. It's just that it's fun if we as a family live in Malaysia.
"I'm trying to persuade my husband to live in Malaysia. After all, I've bought a house here. My first and third sons like Malaysia while my second son likes Dubai because he works there," said Azza.
Azza added: "My husband wants a more relaxed, calm life and vacations at the beach. Malaysia has it all."
According to Azah, the standard of living in Malaysia was affordable.
Azah has the full support of her husband to return to acting.
"I have many artiste friends of my generation such as Datuk Rosyam Nor who have become drama producers. I enjoy seeing my old friends succeed."
Azah is now starring in the drama Nataliya Sebuah Bahagia directed by Nur Ain Sharif with 40 episodes on Astro Ria.
Azah married French citizen Daud on Jan 7, 1995 and they previously lived in Montreal, Canada.
Azah and Daud have three sons, Aaron, 26, Ryan, 20 and Justin, 17.
